The main advantage of Soggiorno Panerai is without any doubts its location, really convenient only 100 metres from the Duomo and 150 metres from the Galleria dell'Accademia.

You will be at a really nice square too, Piazza Santa Annunziata, with the best preserved Renaissance features. You will notice the Ospedale degl'Innocenti, by Brunelleschi: this building was constructed between 1421 and 1424 to give a home and protection to orfans.
Soggiorno Panerai, works on the first floor of a four-storey building from the 16th century.
Guestrooms with several antique pieces of furniture, like the beds that are really charming in dark colored wood. Also, there are several Florentine interiors that will amaze you instantaneously. All in all, it is a nice amiable lodging where tradition meets modern services.
From Santa Maria Novella station, you will only have to walk around 10 minutes, while the airport is 20 minutes away by car.

Israel Smadar (2010-03-11 16:48:05) The kindness of Albena and Walter is something you don't see every day in a place you are coming to stay only for a few days, they are so nice and willing to help in any way they can. The place is located in the center on the old city of Firenze where you can get to all the most important sites by walking a very short distance. The rooms are very clean and have very nice pieces of furniture. The place has 5 beautiful rooms, different from each other by the size and no. of beds. Breakfast is served to your room by Albena every morning and coffee you can have all day long in the machine for half a euro a cap. We don't eat sugar so we asked not to have all jam and chocolate and instead to have more cheese so we got a nice variety of cheese and yogurt that was kept in the small refrigerator in the room. We also got a nice plate with different fruit. Hot water is available all day and also in the entrance there is a computer of the gusts use no charge. When we needed to print something they let us do it on their privet computer and printer. I and my husband spent the Firenze a most wonderful week; we had a rented car so we traveled around Toscana. Parking is a little hard but possible for a euro an hour at about 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The place is simple and nice and don't have all special amenities of a big hotel but that is what makes is what it is. We will certainly try and have another vacation in Firenze and if we will it will be in Soggiorno Panerai. Thank you Albena and Walter it's been a pleasure and an honor to be a guest at your place.
